A phenomenal hockey player who represented India in 1986-87, Gurstainder Singh is a household name in Jarkhar Academy, Ludhiana. He earned the surname PARGAT for his excellence and brilliance in Hockey. He took active participation in school championships and also played at all-India levels, including Asian Games and Pacific Games.
His priceless contribution to the Jarkhar Academy and his coaching styles have been the driving force behind successful personalities coming from the academy. He has put every effort under the sun to take Indian hockey to the next level while training and mentoring budding minds to make a worthwhile contribution personally and to the nation. His approach towards the game has been honesty with a positive attitude to get the attention it deserves.
